My poetry muse has been gone for a while. She’d slipped away while I was busy at my desk, went off to see worlds I have yet to explore.
I was worried she might not come back. But I think…this might just be it. I started small and came up with 4 in a day. Time to get the ball rolling again.
Sharing lifts the burden and finds the constant in a fast-paced world where everything is changing. It transcends the time difference across continents.
Finding yourself all over again after graduation can be a difficult path. But knowing that you aren’t alone makes it a little more bearable.
Watched Captain America with my brother and cousin. It was as good as they said it would be.
And it’s much better with lots of popcorn, nuggets, drinks and good company who know when Stan Lee appears and need not be asked to wait to watch the after credits.
Laksa for lunch in the office. Food keeps you going. Although it does make you drowsy afterwards.
Discovered my stash of memories in the form of tickets, postcards and little trinkets. Wow, didn’t realise just how much stuff I had. Come to think about it, it’s probably about time I got my scrapbook started.
My friends and I plan to go on a trip, to a place where we can wake up to a beautiful paddy field, walk by a beach and feast of fresh seafood.
This is what I have in mind. So far.
It’ll be an escape to tranquillity. I can’t wait. Watch this space.
Weekends are sacred to me now. It’s really the only time I can plan to meet anyone.
And of course, alone time is crucial. There is nothing quite like coaxing your mind to sleep with a book. Like old times.
